J-Hood BIO

Born Joshua Hood, Jan 30th 1984 in Raleigh, N.C.I took a liking to music at an early age.

Moved to Westchester NY at 12, met producer J-ARMZ and recorded a demo which consisted of 50/60 songs which of some later got leaked.

After recording with ARMZ my family ended up moving to Yonkers where I later ended up meeting the Legendary rap trio THE LOX.

The LOX and I collectively came up with idea to start a movement and planned for me to be the spear head of it.

We murdered the mixtape scene, built an unheard of buzz and landed 2 distribution deals, 1 with Universal records and the other with KOCH.

For what ever reason I never ended up releasing my solo project under either company and later decided to leave my group to pursue a solo career under my own imprint.

In which I went on to release multiple dozens of mixtapes and retail projects under that include "4TH LOK" "PESCI" "JOSHUA" SAVAGES" with Yukmouth, "Infamous N The hood" with BIG TWINS, "Stone in the mud" Spoken words and eBook, "de Kooning" "Sorry I Made You Wait" and more.
